JAKARTA - The school revitalization program run by the government in Lampung Province throughout 2025 has reached hundreds of educational units. In addition to improving the condition of school infrastructure, the realization of the budget for the program has also been recorded almost entirely absorbed.
The Head of the Budget Implementation and Implementation Section II C of the Lampung Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) of the Ministry of Finance, Gwen Adhitya Amalkhan, said that the funds that had been disbursed for the school revitalization program reached Rp. 500 billion or about 97.19 percent of the total budget provided.
"Throughout 2025, the school revitalization program in Lampung Province has managed to disburse funds of IDR 500 billion or an estimated 97.19 percent for school repairs," said Gwen as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 12.
According to him, the budget was used to repair 703 school units spread across various regions in Lampung Province.
"In the implementation of the school revitalization program in general, the school repair fund is from the central government. And in 2025, South Lampung Regency became the largest recipient of this school revitalization program with a total number of revitalized schools of 102 units," he said.
However, Gwen revealed that in 2026 there was no implementation of school revitalization programs, both from government assistance schemes through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) and the Physical Special Allocation Fund (DAK).
"For the progress of the central government's strategic program in Lampung which is in the education sector, for the development of SMA Unggul Garuda until March 2026 there has been no physical development. However, the proposed location is in South Lampung Regency, Pringsewu, and Mesuji but only one location will be selected," he said.
On the other hand, the development of the People's School program in Lampung continues. Currently, there are three People's School locations in East Lampung Regency, South Lampung Regency, and Jati Agung District.
"The People's School being built in Kota Baru is designed as a boarding school, later the students from the People's School of the initiative, which currently still occupy temporary facilities such as the Integrated People's School 35 Bandarlampung, and SRMA 32 South Lampung will be relocated to a permanent building in Kota Baru to operate fully in the 2026/2027 school year," he said.
