The title of Sangia Tilano Lia Metanduno is one of the sacred titles of nobility in the Muna Kingdom tradition. The title has the meaning of a protective leader who is luminous, wise, and an example for the community.
In the philosophy of the Muna custom, Sangia refers to a leader who is respected for his wisdom. Meanwhile, Tilano Lia is interpreted as a light that shines from within the cave, while Metanduno refers to Liang Metanduno, a historical site in Muna Regency which symbolizes power, protection, and traces of past civilizations.
