Ridwan Kamil Optimistic That Prabowo's Electability Will Increase After The Third Debate

JAKARTA - The head of the Prabowo-Gibran Regional Campaign Team (TKD) for West Java, Ridwan Kamil, believes that the debate of the three presidential candidates for the 2024 General Election, which raises the theme of defense, security, international relations, and geopolitical relations, will pump up the electability of candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"God willing, we believe that we will increase the percentage increase in the electability of pair 02," said Ridwan Kamil as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, December 30.

The former governor of West Java assessed that the theme of the third debate, which will be held on January 7, 2024, will benefit the presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto because he has experience with his background from the military.

In addition, Prabowo's current position as defense minister will also make him stronger and master the course of the debate.

However, Kang Emil said the results of the debate did not necessarily make voters confused, which amounted to 6 to 7 percent, would immediately make their choice.

The duties of the candidate pairs and the KPU, as election organizers, he said, only ensure that the number of white groups (golput) can be minimized to open up opportunities for the 2024 presidential election to take place in one round.

"Vocational voters are always there until the final second. Something normal. They are the group that decides when at the polling station (voting place). The task of the candidate pair and the KPU is to ensure the number of goals as small as possible, so that one round is very possible," said Ridwan Kamil.
