BOGOR - One worker was killed and 4 others injured due to a collapsing shophouse wall on Jalan Rangga Gading, Gudang Village, Central Bogor District, Bogor City, West Java Province, on Friday, December 29 morning. "The incident occurred earlier at 08.00 WIB. We immediately tried to be evacuated this morning. We cleaned the debris from the location to evacuate the victim, now it is in the hospital," said Head of the Bogor City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Hidayatullah, quoted by ANTARA, Friday afternoon. He said that there were 11 people working in the shophouse building whose walls collapsed, but at the time of the accident only five people were at the location. According to him, the five people were injured due to a wall collapse on the second floor of the shophouse building. Three people who were seriously injured were taken to the Bogor PMI Hospital and two people who were lightly injured were taken to Vania Bogor Hospital. "Of the 3 people who were seriously injured, Sutrisno workers were reported to have died," he said. Hidayatullah said that among the injured workers there were injured on the legs, hands, stomach, and head.

He said that the shophouse building whose walls collapsed had been fitted with police lines and the police were investigating the cause of the collapse of the building wall. "Currently, we have submitted the location to the police and shophouse owners for follow-up. The process of handling the incident and evacuation has been completed," he said.
