Circulation Of 30 Kg Of Methamphetamine For New Year's Eve Party Successfully Foiled

The West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit dismantled the Malaysia-Aceh-Jakarta International drug ring syndicate. The police confiscated 30 kg of methamphetamine which is planned to be sold for New Year's Eve (new year).

West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes M Syahduddi accompanied by Narcotics Head AKBP Indrawienny Panjiyoga said the perpetrators of smuggling methamphetamine were put in plastic jerry cans.

The three suspects had the initials LH (39), YL (48), and AM (45). In addition, there are three DPOs (People Search Lists) who are still being chased, namely the initials JM (DPO), YW (DPO), and MT (DPO).

According to Kombes Syahduddi, this disclosure began with the case of TBM Cs at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, which carried 2,000 grams of crystal methamphetamine (2 kg). After that, the development was carried out to Kuala Namu Airport, Medan, North Sumatra, with the suspect AN Cs who also carried 2,000 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

AN has been detained and is undergoing legal proceedings against the cases he is currently undergoing. From the results of the analysis, it leads to crystal methamphetamine transactions that will be circulated on New Year's Eve 2024 in Jakarta and its surroundings.

In an investigation and observation in the Aceh area, the Head of Drugs at the West Jakarta Police, AKBP Indrawienny Panjiyoga and his team managed to see a man enter the house with the characteristics he had obtained.

The man was successfully secured and identified as LH. From a search of LH, 3 blue jerry cans were found containing 30 large plastics weighing a total of 30 kg of crystal methamphetamine.

"Then it continues to develop with the arrests of suspects AM and YL," said Kombes Syahduddi to reporters, Thursday, December 28.

Meanwhile, from the interrogation of the two, it was found that the 30 kg methamphetamine came from AM and YL on the orders of JM (DPO). Furthermore, the team pursued YW (DPO) and MT (DPO), who are currently still being chased.

"Evidence as much as 30 kg of crystal methamphetamine worth around Rp. 54,000,000,000 (fifty-four billion) of the rupiah was successfully secured. From this disclosure, 240,000 people have been saved from the negative impact of drugs," he said.

As a result of their actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) Sub-Article 112 paragraph (2) Juncto Article 132 paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
