Investigate Again The Harun Masiku Case, KPK Searches The House Of Former KPU Commissioner Wahyu In Banjarnegara

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a search of the house of former General Election Commission (KPU) Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan in investigating the interim replacement bribery (PAW) case for members of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period with the suspect Harun Masiku.

The search was carried out by KPK investigators at Wahyu's house in Banjarnegara, Central Jaea (Central Java) on Tuesday 12 December.

"It is true, previously on December 12, 2023, the KPK investigating team conducted a search at witness Wahyu S's house in Banjarnegara, Central Java," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in his statement, Thursday, December 28.

Ali said the search was carried out to conduct an in-depth investigation after the investigative team received information related to this case.

As a follow-up to the search, Wahyu Setiawan was summoned by the KPK as a witness today. Wahyu was also present to fulfill the KPK's summons at the KPK's Red and White Building, Jakarta, Thursday, December 28.

"The team received information regarding the handling of the case with the tsk (suspect) HM (Harun Masiku) so that today (December 28) the investigator summoned the person concerned to complete the BAP as a witness in the case," he said.

In this case, the suspect Harun Masiku is a former PDI-P candidate (PDIP) who was caught in the bribery case of PAW, a member of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period. He is suspected of bribing the KPU commissioner at that time, Wahyu Setiawan so that he can be appointed a member of the DPR.

However, since Wahyu was caught OTT along with a number of other parties on January 8, 2020, Harun Masiku is still at large and breathes free air.
