Heavy Rain Causes Floods In East Cilandak

The flood situation in the East Cilandak area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (27/12/2023) BETWEEN/HO-Personal Documentations.

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that there was inundation in two RTs in the DKI Jakarta area due to rain with moderate to heavy intensity that hit the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings.

The two affected RTs are from East Cilandak Village, South Jakarta with a water level of 60 to 80 centimeters.

In addition to high rainfall, another cause of inundation is reportedly due to the overflow of Krukut rivers which are not far from residential areas.

The number of refugees is currently recorded at 20 families or 60 people. They took refuge in the Al-Makmuriyah Mushalla RT. 09 RW. 03.

To deal with the inundation, the DKI Jakarta BPBD mobilizes personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate elements of the Natural Resources Service, Highways Office, Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure water lines function properly together with the local village heads and sub-district heads.
