Allegedly The Pet Dog Slaughter, Restaurant In Tangerang Reported To The Police

TANGERANG - Animal Defenders Indonesia (ADI) reported the owner of a restaurant in Tangerang to the Tangerang City Metro Police on suspicion of possessing a frequent bull dog named Chloe.

PDI chairman Doni Herdaru said the restaurant also managed stolen dogs.

"On December 24, [the report]. That's right, when the Christmas holiday was over. But we feel that it must be followed up," Doni said when confirmed, Tuesday, December 26.

Doni explained that the chronology of this slaughterhouse was revealed when the dog owner took his pet named Chloe to the shophouse to accompany him to work.

However, without the owner's knowledge, Chloe allegedly left the shophouse. The security guard at the shop when asked if he had seen a dog released.

The dog owner then continued to search until he traced a restaurant. Apparently, the owner found a dog found dead. He suspected it was Chloe but the restaurant brushed it off.

"'I told [the suspect] the perpetrator that Chloe's body I was going to bring to be buried', he had said 'how come'?, finally I said 'I don't want to take it to law on this matter, the perpetrator replied 'please take it to the police, and please take the dog's body'," said Doni, telling the chronology based on the dog owner's narrative.

Furthermore, Doni said the owner then asked the alleged perpetrator who caused the dog to die and was answered dead because it was entangled.

Not just believing it, the dog owner checked the body of the dog which was said to have been entangled. It turned out that there was a strong suspicion that the lifeless dog was Chloe.

"The perpetrator argued that this dog died when it was stuck in a tree, I can't believe it, sir, if it died stuck in a tree, why did the scar have an incision on the neck like an animal, "he said.

On that basis, the dog owner reported the restaurant to the police. The report numbered LP/B/1773/XII/2023/SPKT/Polres Metro Tngagerang Kota/Polda Metro Jaya.

"We hope that it will act further immediately. We get information from below that there is already attention about this case. It will be followed up by property, we believe that the police will be profersional," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tangerang City Metro Police, Kompol Rio Mikael Tobing, confirmed the report. The case is currently being investigated by his side.

"The new LP (police report) was received. It's still being processed," he said.
