JAKARTA - To support traffic flow during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year celebrations, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) functionally operates two new sections on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS).
Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Tjahjo Purnomo said that the two sections are the Binjai-Langsa Toll Road Section Kuala Bingai-Tanjung Pura and the Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat Toll Road, Tebing Tinggi-Sinaksak Section.
"The Tinggi-Sinaksak Cliff Toll Road will be opened on Friday, December 22, 2023. Meanwhile, the Kuala Bingai-Tanjung Pura Toll Road will be opened starting Saturday, December 23, 2023, operating 24 hours starting at 07.00 WIB according to the regulator's direction," said Tjahjo Purnomo, ANTARA, Sunday, December 24.
He said that while operated functionally, the public could first try the toll road without tariff or free before it would be opened and the two toll rates were set.
"The 19-kilometer Kuala Bingai-Tanjung Pura toll road is part of the Binjai-Langsa Toll Road which will cut the travel time from Binjai to Tanjung Pura which was originally more than an hour to only 30 minutes. This will facilitate access for toll road users from Kuala Bingai who want to visit the Tanjung Pura area to visit local tourist attractions," he said.
He explained that the 48-kilometer Tebing Tinggi-Sinaksak Toll Road is part of the Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Paarapat Toll Road. The Tebing Tinggi-Sinaksak Toll Road can make it easier for people to travel to the area in just 30 minutes.
