Hasto Claims Ganjar-Mahfud Is More Integrated Because Of Building IKN From Maritime, Prabowo-Gibran Is Another Story

PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said presidential candidates Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Mahfud MD had one vote on development at IKN. However, these two candidates have different conceptions in building. This was revealed when Mahfud asked Gibran about the large land in IKN which was controlled by a handful of people. "So about IKN as a paradigm change, both agree as things are done to move the capital city to follow the geopolitical perspective. What is different is the startingegi implementation. Hasto explained that the strategy to encourage investment in IKN Nusantara is not at the expense of national sovereignty but a comprehensive and integrated conception of the direction of development. Ganjar and Mahfud, he continued, started the construction of IKN from the sea. "That is the hallmark of the superior of Ganjar-Mahfud, placing our awareness as the largest archipelagic country, a maritime country. And this is not mentioned by Pak Prabowo and Gibran who are more focused on the mainland," explained Hasto. Vice Presidential Candidate Mahfud MD spoke about the IKN which was predicted by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to continue. Mahfud emphasized that the continuation of the ambitious project in the Jokowi government must be carried out, but efforts are needed to attract investors. “Mas Gibran, I am very interested in IKN and we have to carry it out as a legacy from Pak Jokowi. But earlier I was involved, the budget for IKN was only 20 from the APBN and the rest from investors,” said Mahfud, Friday, December 22. "As far as we have read, until now no one investor has entered there, try if there is a name if there is a mention, for example two or one, which investor has entered there," he said. In fact, hundreds of hectares of land in the IKN area, called Mahfud, are controlled by certain entrepreneurs.

“ I heard that there are actually hundreds of hectares of land already controlled by certain entrepreneurs today. So I agree that in the future, IKN investors must be continued but the funding must be in accordance with their original goals, that it actually invites investors,” he said. "But now it's all from the state budget. So it is necessary to improve steps so that we can continue President Jokowi's good legacy,” he said.
