TANJUNG SELOR - North Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda), held an Apple for the 2023 Kayan Candle Operation Forces at the Kaltara Police Headquarters.

Wakapolda Kaltara Brigadier General Kasmudi said the Kayan Candle Operation 2023 was carried out to secure the 2024 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays. The operation will last for 12 days starting on December 22, 2023 to January 2, 2024.

"Nationally, the joint security personnel involved are 129,923 personnel consisting of Polri personnel, TNI, and personnel from related agencies spread across 1,668 security posts, 670 service posts. and 113 integrated posts that have been prepared to ensure security", said the Deputy Chief of Police of Kaltara in conveying the Mandate of the National Police Chief, Thursday, December 21.

Brigadier General Pol Kasmudi emphasized that the police gave security guarantees during Christmas-New Year.

"We guarantee it is safe without any disturbance from irresponsible parties. For that, I ensure that the ranks of the TNI-Polri and related stakeholders, especially in Kaltara, are ready to secure Nataru," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Kaltara Police said hundreds of Polda Polresta and Polres personnel in Kaltara were deployed to secure a number of places of worship or churches. Based on data, there are 3,492 personnel in the ranks of the Kaltara Police and Polres.

"A number of personnel will be placed in churches, ports, airports, shopping and tourist attractions as well as other vital objects. This is to provide a sense of security during the Nataru holiday," he concluded.
