South Kalimantan Police Confiscate Tens Of Thousands Of Illegal Drugs

The Directorate of Drug Investigation of the South Kalimantan Police confiscated tens of thousands of illegal drugs during raids in market areas and other crowded places in Banjarmasin in a series of operations to create conditions during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holidays.

"In total there are 31,877 pills of various types, including Zenith, which has entered the narcotics category as many as 7,239 pills," said Deputy Director of Drug Investigation at the South Kalimantan Police, AKBP80 Saiser, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 21.

Also confiscated was Rp39 million in cash from the sale of the illegal drugs from the suspects.

In addition to the drug case that was included in the Narcotics Law and the Health Law, the police also confiscated 152 bottles of liquor and five sharp weapons.

Regarding the findings of illegal drugs,kerway ensured that development was carried out in order to uncover the network of suppliers who often use thugs in the market as marketing couriers.

"The results of our findings in this drug field are often sold in bulk, aka not in the form of original packaging, maybe this is part of the marketing modus operandi," he said.
