YOGYAKARTA A group of motorists who delivered the body of Habib Rizieq Shihab's (HRS) wife was desperate to break through the Jagorawi toll road. The police also intervened and released the group of motorists through the Taman Mini and GT Pancoran toll gates. Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman revealed the chronology of a group of motorists who were part of an ambulance convoy that delivered the body of HRS's wife, Syarifah Fadhlun Yahya; desperate to cross the toll road.

Latief said the incident occurred on Sunday, December 17, 2023. At that time, the wave was about to go to the Megamendung area, Bogor. However, the problem is that there are groups of motorists who join in crossing the toll road.

At that time, the group of motorists delivering Syarifah Fadlun's body was reminded by the officers guarding Pejompongan not to enter the toll road. However, the appeal was ignored.

"Of course, I already know that four-wheeled vehicles can go through toll roads, now at that time the officers in Pejompongan had warned them, but they still forced it," said Latif at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

Kombes Latif said there were hundreds of motorbikes passing on the toll road. They enter through the Pejompongan Toll Gate.

"There are hundreds, entering from Pejompongan. Because from Petamburan, they entered the Pejompongan (GT)," said Latif.

Police officers on guard in the field then coordinated with the Traffic Management Center (TMC) and the clan service officers to pursue the group of motorists. The effort also paid off.

When coordinated with TMC, TMC immediately gave chase to get the vehicle out, starting from Pancoran, finally to Taman Mini, everything was finished," explained Latif.

He said that some of the motorbike groups were issued at the Pancoran GT. Some are issued through the Taman Mini GT.

Latif added that his party would impose fines on the motorcyclists. The police will look at CCTV to identify the motorcyclist.

"We are confirming this ticket with CCTV in Pejompongan and other places. If later it can be recorded, we will do a ticket," said Latif.

It is not yet known why the group of motorbikes delivering HRS's wife's body was desperate to enter the toll road. Latif said that at that time his party was focused on removing motorists from toll roads.

"We didn't have time to ask, the important thing is to get out of the toll road immediately," he said.

For information, Habib Rizieq Shihab's (HRS) wife, Syarifah Fadlun bint Yahya died on Saturday, December 26, 2023, due to illness. His body was buried in Petampuran, Central Jakarta. On Sunday, December 17, 2023, the body of the deceased was dispatched to the Markaz Syariah Mega Mendung cemetery, Bogor for burial.
