Jokowi Comfortable Using Yellow Economy, Airlangga Claims Support To The Golkar Party

JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto responded to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) admitting that he was comfortable wearing a yellow tie when he left for Japan. Airlangga translated this as a form of Jokowi's support for his party.

"It's comfortable with the Golkar Party. Yes, if we want to translate it as support for the Golkar Party, we just emphasize that he supports the Golkar Party. Because he is also a big family," said Airlangga at the Golkar DPP office, Wednesday, December 20.

The Coordinating Minister for the Economy acknowledged that his party has consistently supported President Jokowi from the start to oversee the government's agenda to date.

According to him, the Golkar party concretely supports Jokowi's total until the end of his term of office in 2024.

"Yes, from leaving wearing a yellow tie, going home, comfortable, now of course we are open to Pak Jokowi to participate. So far, the Golkar Party has been concrete in support of Pak Jokowi, nominating Pak Jokowi, guarding the government, within the uncertainty of the world. So the Golkar Party has concretely provided total support to Mr. President Jokowi until 2024," he said.

Previously, Jokowi admitted that he was comfortable wearing a yellow tie. Regarding this yellow tie, Jokowi asked after the inauguration of the Otista bridge, Bogor City, last Tuesday.

Jokowi initially answered when he was not wearing a tie. Jokowi was then asked again about Golkar cadres who said he was comfortable with yellow. While laughing, Jokowi also agreed.

"It's comfortable, he-he-he..." said Jokowi.
