TNI Patrol Security Task Force In 5 Papua Regencies Prone To Security Disturbances

Pangdam XVII/Cenderawasih Maj. Gen. Izak Pangemanan said there are five districts in Tanah Papua that are prone to security disturbances carried out by the KKB.

The five districts that are prone to security disturbances are Nduga, Yahukimo, Bintang Mountains in Papua Mountains and Puncak and Intan Jaya Regencies in Central Papua.

"To secure the area, a security task force for vulnerable areas has been held," said Major General Izak Pangemanan, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 20.

Currently, the security situation in the five regencies and other regions is safe.

It is hoped that this conducive situation can be maintained, especially at this time before Christmas, so that people begin to prepare themselves to celebrate.

To help the community, TNI soldiers who work in the area will try to help through the territorial development program.

"Through the binter program, it is hoped that it can help residents around their place of duty," said Pangdam XVII/Cenderawasih Major General Izak Pangemanan.

Overall, the security situation in four provinces in Papua, namely Papua, Central Papua, Papua, Mountains and South Papua is safe and conducive.

"Let us all maintain security in Papua so that development can be carried out according to schedule," said TNI Major General Izak Pangemanan.
