JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reviewed the construction project of the Nusantara Hotel in Bumi Harapan Village, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, Wednesday, December 20. Jokowi and his entourage arrived at the five-star hotel in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) at around 11.20 WITA. The hotel, which was built by PT Agung Sedayu Group, recorded a progress of 34.50 percent to date. The Nusantara Hotel covers an area of 20,164 square meters with a height of buildings reaching 43.10 meters. The building consisting of nine floors has a total of 191 units, which is divided into six types of rooms.Each room type is a Premier Twin 61 units, a Premier King 102 unit, a Junior Suite 14 units, an Executive Suite of 12 units, a Disable Room 1 unit, and a President Suite 1 unit. When Jokowi reviewed the progress of hotel construction, a number of workers with their respective gadgets also captured the presence of the country's leader.

Sebelumnya, Presiden Jokowi telah melakukan peletakan batu pertama atau groundbreaking proyek Hotel Nusantara pada 21 September 2023.Pemasangan atap bangunan (topping off) hotel bintang lima itu ditargetkan selesai pada kuartal pertama 2024, dengan target penyelesaian seluruh bangunan sebelum Agustus 2024.Hotel itu merupakan hasil investasi konsorsium yang terdiri dari sembilan perusahaan swasta dalam negeri senilai Rp20 triliun. Hotel Nusantara berlokasi di kawasan area khusus pengembangan bisnis dan jasa (mix-used) di sekitar Titik Nol IKN.Kepala Negara mengatakan investor lokal di IKN menjadi lokomotif investasi besar, termasuk untuk pembangunan Hotel Nusantara.
