Ganjar Agrees To Remove The Age Limit Requirements For The Lecture And Work List

BOGOR - Candidate for president serial number 3 Ganjar Pranowo agreed with the proposal to abolish the age limit for university registration or apply for a job.

"I agree. That (the abolition of the age limit) we reviewed (reviewed), we are looking for the right one," said Ganjar at the IPB International Convention Center, Bogor City, West Java, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 19.

Ganjar also said that the requirements for the entrance test for universities or registering for work will not only be a matter of age, but in other aspects.

"Maybe the test is not a matter of (limited) age, yes, (but) their respective physical conditions," said the former Governor of Central Java.

According to him, the age limit requirements for registering for universities or occupations are not found in developed countries.

Therefore, Ganjar stated that he would review the age limit requirements if elected later.

"I think this information has also been conveyed by fellow workers, it is important for us to review (review)," he said.

Previously, a user of social media account X @ardisatriawan, tweeted the deletion of the age limit on Sunday (17/12). The tweet received around 1 million views and 16 thousand users who liked it until Tuesday at 18.30 WIB.

"High school graduates, quickly go to college because entrance exams are limited to 21 years. Entering college, they are forced to take the SKS overload to pass quickly because fresh graduate vacancies are limited to 25 years. You want to continue with your master's degree after work, you have to hurry up, because postgraduate vacancies are limited to 30 years. Want to continue with your doctoral degrees, you must also hurry up because your doctoral vacancies are a maximum of 35 years. How can you seriously learn if you are forced to become a racing athlete running? Remove age discrimination!"
