The Chairman Of The Bogor DPRD Proposes The Digitalization Of The Regional Budget To Save Rp 700 Million Photocopy Of Money

BOGOR - Chairman of the Bogor Regency DPRD, West Java, Rudy Susmanto, proposed digitizing the APBD document. The goal is to save on the photocopy budget, which costs up to Rp. 700 million per year.

"Rp. 700 million for photocopies only. I asked SKPD (regional work units) to send them via email, don't need to use books again. If they are in PDF (digital) form, just type them in," he said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 18.

The amount of budget for the duplication of documents is due to the thickness of the APBD book which is more than 3,000 sheets which are then duplicated for 55 members of the DPRD and other SKPD.

According to him, with the APBD document digitization program, the government not only saves expenses, but also supports the openness of public information, because it can be accessed by the public.

The Gerindra Party politician said the public needed to know the details of the programs that have been included in the APBD each year, so that the public could participate in monitoring.

"Because if it is still in physical form (a book), reading it will take a lot of time. Besides, it can only be accessed by certain people. Not everyone can fly," said Rudy.

He admitted that he had repeatedly asked the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) to only send a digital copy of the APBD, then sent it using electronic mail. However, the proposal has not been realized.

Meanwhile, member of Commission III DPRD Bogor Regency, Andi Permana admitted that it is often difficult to carry out the control function if the APBD is still in physical form as it is today. He is worried that there will be negligence, especially in the discussion.

"It is impossible for us to carry the APBD with us everywhere and then look for programs by sorting the pages one by one. Now it is the digital era. Should the Bogor Regency Government also use technology," said Andi.
