Dozens Of Refugees For Fire Victims Placed In Mess Kwitang Church

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta BPBD provided logistical assistance in the form of clothes and food to victims affected by the fire on Jalan Kramat Kwitang 1C, No. 11A, RT 05/04, Kwitang, Senen, Central Jakarta on Monday, December 18, afternoon.

Based on data from the DKI Jakarta BPBD, the total number of victims affected by the fire was 28 families out of 79 people. Meanwhile, 15 houses were burned down. The refugees were placed at the evacuation post of the GKI Kwitang Church Mess, Senen District.

Meanwhile, the assistance provided by the DKI Jakarta BPBD consisted of 15 tarpaulins, 40 mattresses, 15 family kit packages, 10 children's clothes packages, 17 packages of clothing, 8 boxes of mineral water, 78 pcs of blankets, 20 pcs of sarongs, 20 pcs of mukena and 24 cans of biscuits.

"Logistics have been handed over to the Kwitang sub-district secretary," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Data and Information Processing Unit, Michael Sitanggang when confirmed, Monday, December 18.

The results of the final data collection by the DKI Jakarta BPBD showed that 8 residents were injured in the fire. Meanwhile, 1 elderly person died.

Previously, it was reported that as many as 3 residents suffered burns and 1 other resident died as a result of a fire that hit 14 densely populated houses in RT 05, 06 RW 04 Jalan Kramat Kwitang 1c, Kwitang Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta on Monday, December 18, this morning.

Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Asril Rizal confirmed that there were victims in a fire that hit a dense area in Kwitang, Senen.

"There were four victims, namely two residents suffered minor burns, one child, and one parent named Mrs. Amsah (80) died at the hospital," said Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Asril Rizal to VOI, Monday, December 18, afternoon.
