The South Lampung Police Traffic Unit is still investigating the cause of the bus accident that killed a driver on the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll Road, last Wednesday, December 13. The bus brought taekwondo athletes from Bengkulu City who will take part in a national championship in Jakarta. Head of Gakkum Traffic Unit of South Lampung Police, Iptu Warikiurson Wilson, said that his party would investigate the accident case. "For further action, we will examine the witnesses who were first at the crime scene (TKP), as well as the passengers who will be summoned," he said in Kalianda, Antara, Sunday, December 17. His party will collect witnesses and evidence to follow up on the accident case that killed a bus driver. "So in the meantime, we will collect evidence and we will follow up on other witnesses," he also said. He also said that the incident began when the truck was on a slow lane, then a bus arrived carrying a group of taekwondo athletes from Bengkulu. "At that time the position was quiet, the car loaded with oranges was in a slow lane, because it was a bit uphill and then a bus carrying taekwondo children hit the truck," he said. As a result of the incident, all passengers suffered minor injuries, while a driver was seriously injured and was taken to Bob Bazar General Hospital in Kalida, South Lampung.

"All passengers suffered minor injuries, but the driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to RSU Bob Bazar, after several hours of his life could not be saved, died," he said.
