JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pempro) has started to open its fifth dose of COVID-19 vaccination service for the general public. The fifth dose of vaccination service starts today.
On the first day of service in the motor vehicle-free day (HBKB) or car free day (CFD) area in Sudirman-Thamrin, 52 people have been vaccinated.
"The 5th dose in DKI Jakarta has started today, December 17, 2023. All DKI Jakarta vaccination services are ready to provide free 5th dose of COVID-19 vaccination for all Indonesian ID cards aged 18 years and over," said Head of the Epidemiological Surveillance and Immunization Section of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Ngabila Salama to reporters, Sunday, December 17.
In addition to the fifth dose, today's vaccination service at CFD also injected the first dose of vaccination in 1 person, the second dose was 20 people, the third dose was 70 people, and the fourth dose was 52 people.
Ngabila explained that the vaccine brands available are InaVac and IndoVac. IndoVac is a vaccine produced by PT Biofarma containing recombinant subunit protein such as the Zifivax vaccine.
Meanwhile, the InaVac vaccine produced by PT Biotis contains an inactivated virus such as the SinoVac vaccine.
"There is no need to choose a vaccine brand anymore because any brand available can be used to inject doses 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 without seeing the brands that have been injected before," explained Ngabila.
