TANJUNG SELOR - Provincial Government (Pemprov) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) provides incentives to Koran teachers.

The Governor of Kaltara, Zainal Arifin Paliwang, revealed that the provision of incentives for Koran teachers is not just a form of appreciation to educators.

But also as a progressive effort to shape the character of the younger generation who have strong religious values in people's lives.

"In 2023 we disbursed a budget of Rp. 3.2 billion for incentives for Koran teachers. Of that total, Rp. 2.8 billion is devoted to additional motivation for religious teachers throughout Kaltara," said Governor Zainal, Thursday, December 14.

It is hoped that this fund can encourage and improve the quality of religious teaching, a major milestone in increasing understanding religious values among the younger generation.

"Of course we hope that this incentive can create a sustainable positive impact for the people of Kaltara," he said.

"But also as a basis for the development of superior, creative, and able-to-compete human resources in the era of globalization that continues to grow," he concluded.
