Gakkumdu In Biak Papua Built To Report Election Violations, The Prosecutor's Office Alerts 6 Officers

BIAK - The District Attorney's Office (Kejari) of Biak Numfor Regency, Papua has alerted six prosecutors to handle criminal cases of violations of the 2024 General Election.

They will be placed in the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu) which is filled with officers from the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), the National Police and the Prosecutor's Office.

"These six prosecutors will be placed in the Gakkumdu Center of Biak Numfor Regency and Supiori Regency," said Head of the Biak District Attorney A.Hanung Widyatmaka in Biak, Thursday, December 14, as reported by Antara.

Hanung hopes that during the implementation of the 2024 General Election stage, it can run smoothly without any cases of election violations in Biak and Supiori.

So that the election process runs smoothly, according to Kajari Hanung, all participants in the election of political parties as well as legislative candidates in Biak Numfor and Supiori Regencies must comply with every regulation properly so as to avoid violations of election crimes.

"We hope that all stages of the election in Biak Numfor and Supior will take place safely, smoothly, conducive without any criminal offenses," hoped Kajari Hanung.

Based on the rules of the function of the Gakkumdu Center, the main thing is to conduct a case title to find elements of the election crime and evidence that must be collected.

In addition, the function of the Gakkumdu Center to assist election supervisors in making a study of election crimes.
