JAKARTA - The KPK Supervisory Board has scheduled the examination of 27 witnesses in the trial of the inactive KPK chairman Firli Bahuri's code of ethics.
"There are 27 witnesses summoned, including external and internal KPK," explained member of the KPK Supervisory Board Albertina Ho, Thursday, December 14.
The witness examination will be carried out on a marathon basis on three days of trial.
"If Mr. Firli Bahuri is not present at the trial on December 20, 2023, the trial will still be continued, that was the decision of the assembly deliberation," he said.
Firli Bahuri was supposed to undergo a trial for the KPK Council's code of ethics today. But Firli asked for a postponement because he was focusing on the pretrial hearing on the status of the extortion suspect Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) at the South Jakarta District Court.
"The assembly decided that today's ethics trial will be postponed until Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 09.00 WIB, it will be tried again," said Albertina.
