JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has opened a post to respond to the COVID-19 or corona virus. During its opening, the postal response telephone service has served 2,689 calls from residents.

This telephone service with dialing numbers 112 and 119 was opened a week ago, namely January 27 until now. So, before the announcement of two positive Indonesian citizens being infected with the corona, telephone services were opened.

After residents found out that the corona virus had entered Indonesia, on March 2, the standby service telephone lines were increasingly booming.

"So, the intensity of the activities carried out by friends at the posko is quite high. Given, since the beginning there were alert signals from both global and Indonesian," said DKI Assistant for People's Welfare Catur Laswanto at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Thursday, 5 March.

Head of the DKI Health Service, Widyastuti, continued, most of the callers did not come from DKI residents, but residents of other provinces. However, they have the same concern, namely fear of contracting the corona virus with the health symptoms they are experiencing.

In fact, it is not certain that the body condition of each caller is a symptom of being infected with a virus that originated in China. However, because not all understood the symptoms of corona, they decided to make sure of this through this alert post.

"The callers vary. First, they are related to what is being asked, starting from the symptom consultation, (questions) what kind of symptoms are related to the covid itself, to where if you are sick," said Widyastuti.

"So, various information and if you have met or traveled abroad, what should you do where to go? That is our guidance," he continued.

For the record, currently 145 people have been monitored and 30 patients are under surveillance (suspect) of the corona virus in all hospitals throughout Jakarta. However, their condition is not necessarily corona positive. Only 2 patients tested positive for Cornoa.

People who receive monitoring are those who have just arrived in Jakarta after going to the country of origin of the corona virus. Meanwhile, those under surveillance are those who contract pneumonia or pneumonia after leaving the country.

To accommodate these patients, the DKI Provincial Government will add two referral hospitals for residents infected with the Corona Virus (COVID-19). This plan is being coordinated with the Ministry of Health.

The hospitals that are in the proposed stage are Pasar Minggu Hospital and Cengkareng Hospital. The reason for choosing the two hospitals is because they are located in South Jakarta and West Jakarta. This is because the previous three hospitals were in Central Jakarta, East Jakarta and North Jakarta.
