JAKARTA - Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy'ari spoke up regarding the evaluation of the inaugural presidential candidate debate, Tuesday night which showed the three candidates standing without a table or objects in the vicinity. According to Hasyim, the candidates also did not question that they should stand without a table. "The important thing is the debate or there is a desk? The important thing is that there is a debate, right? There is a table without a table, yes, in fact, the three of them are happy. Strong standing for a long time, it is to convince our people that our president is all strong, healthy, everyone can stand up," said Hasyim while monitoring the logistics of the 2024 General Election in Denpasar, Bali, Wednesday, December 13 evening, quoted from ANTARA. The plan is that on Thursday 14 December, they will gather a winning team or campaign for a pair of presidential-vice-presidential candidates to evaluate the course of the inaugural debate.

Meski mengetahui sejumlah komentar dan pertanyaan yang muncul di masyarakat pasca debatan perdana, Hasyim Asy'ari menegaskan bahwa evaluasi bersama tim harus dilakukan sebelum memberikan tanggapan. Beberapa isu yang menjadi sorotan melibatkan cawapres pendamping yang dianggap pendukung, konsep dan format dembaga, batas waktu, hingga konsekuensi bagi pendukung yang menciptakan kesembungan.Hasyim Asy'ari menambahkan bahwa di luar debat, KPU akan memastikan pengawasan suara di tempat komponan (TPS) dan menjaga keterbukaan seluruh proses, dengan berharap bersama-sama dapat menjaminkan kelancaraan Pemi 2024.
