Campaign In West Sumatra, Prabowo Promises To Open Superior Schools

Presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto conducted a second week campaign by greeting residents and traders at Padang Market, West Sumatra, Saturday, December 9.

Prabowo promised to open a leading school in West Sumatra. In fact, he said, the plan was just to execute it.

"I will open a leading school in West Sumatra. This land is ready, but we have to choose the best location," Prabowo said as quoted from a press statement, Saturday, December 9.

Prabowo claims, not a few regions have offered for Prabowo to build schools in his area.

"Some districts are fighting for all of them offering land for the construction of the flagship school," he continued.

Prabowo's presence at Padang Raya Market was also greeted with great fanfare by the local community. Many also called for "President Prabowo!"

During the visit, Prabowo was also accompanied by the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and the Chairman of the West Sumatra Gerindra DPD, Andre Rosiade.

Before greeting the residents of Padang City, Prabowo visited and provided compensation to victims of the eruption of Mount Marapi in Agam Regency. He also gave dozens of motorbikes to TNI-Polri personnel to launch assistance to communities affected by the eruption.
