Earthquakes Early Friday Also Damaged Houses In Sukabumi Village

SUKABUMI - An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 that occurred on Friday at around 02.00 WIB caused a number of houses damaged in the Kabandungan District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

"Until now, we are still conducting assessments or data collection related to the impact of the earthquake. There were no fatalities, but from temporary data there were dozens of houses that suffered damage from earthquake vibrations," said Public Relations Officer of the Sukabumi Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Sandra Firtria as reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 8.

According to data compiled by the disaster management team in Kabandungan District, the earthquake caused four houses to be heavily damaged, three houses moderately damaged, and 15 houses lightly damaged in Pasirmasigit Village, Cipeutey Village.

The earthquake, which was centered on land at a depth of five km, about 25 km southwest of Bogor City, was recorded as having an impact on 27 families in Pasirmasigit Village.

In addition, the earthquake caused six houses and one mosque to be lightly damaged and affected six families in Cisalimar Village, DesaCipeutey.
