DKI BPBD Records 3 Roads In South Jakarta Inundated This Afternoon

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that three roads in South Jakarta were flooded as of 15.00 WIB due to heavy rains that flushed the Jakarta area. "The rain with moderate to heavy intensity that hit the DKI Jakarta area on Friday caused inundation in the DKI Jakarta area. BPBD noted that currently there are inundation on 3 roads in the DKI Jakarta area," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta Isnawa Adji in his statement, Friday, December 8. The flooded road is on Jalan Ciledug Raya, Cipulir Village, Kebayoran Lama District with a water level of 50 centimeters. Then, Jalan Kemang Utara IX, Duren Tiga, Pancoran with a water level of 25 centimeters. Then, the flood also inundated Jalan Kemang Utara IX in Bangka Village, Mampang Prapatan District with a water level of 50 centimeters. BPBD DKI Jakarta mobilizes personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate elements of the Natural Resources Service, Highways Office, Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that the water lines function properly together with the local village heads and sub-district heads. "The inundation is targeted to recede in a short time. BPBD DKI urges the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation," he said. Based on the forecast of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), a number of areas in Jakarta still have the potential to rain until 17.30 WIB today. The potential for rain in Central Jakarta are Gambir, Sawah Besar, Kemayoran, Senen, Cempaka Putih, Menteng, Tanah Abang, and Johar Baru. North Jakarta includes Penjaringan, Tanjung Priok, Koja, Cilincing, Pademangan, and Kelapa Gading.

Meanwhile, the potential for rain in West Jakarta are Cengkareng, Grogol Petamburan, Tambora, Kebon Jeruk, Kalideres, Pal Merah, Kembangan, and Taman Sari.
