Ganjar Claims To Understand Jokowi's Vision Of IKN: I'm Very Close To Him

BALIKPAPAN - Presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo claims to understand President Joko Widodo's vision of the Nusantara State Capital (IKN) megaproject.

This was conveyed by Ganjar at the IKN View Tower, Sepaku, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan. He explained that his background said such things, because he often discussed IKN with Jokowi.

"I am very close to him," said Ganjar as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 7.

"Even in the several times before I was appointed (as a presidential candidate), we have discussed it. After the determination, we also discussed. About IKN, he has an extraordinary concern," he continued.

The former governor of Central Java also admitted that he would still invite Jokowi's discussion if he was elected president.

On the other hand, Ganjar emphasized that he would continue the IKN project executed by Jokowi. He emphasized that his visit is proof of this commitment.

"I conveyed earlier that from the beginning I was here the first to show that commitment," he said.

The IKN Bill has been ratified into Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning IKN (IKN Law, so it is mandatory to be executed.

"To show a commitment, only a person who is consistent with the implementation of a rule," he continued.

Ganjar also admitted that he was ready to have an office in IKN and hoped that this IKN could become a future city as a sign of modernity, the progress of civilization, and dreams.

"IKN is a story of Indonesia's future, a story of modernity, a story of the progress of civilization, a story of participation, a story of the green economy of the creative industry, the digital industry and the future of children, so this is Indonesia's transformation which is manifested in one area," he concluded.
