The Group Of Ex-Democratic Cadres Expressed Support For Anies-Cak Imin

JAKARTA - A number of former cadres and founders of the Democratic Party expressed their support for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar. They named their group the Star of Mercy Change.

The captain of the National Team for Winning Anies-Muhaimin (AMINAn National Team) M. Syaugi received the support of the former Democrat politician by pining the Chairperson of the Star Mercy Presidium Change Mohamad Sukri.

"We are very happy, of course, honored, that many senior politicians want to join because of course with their hearts. He has already said that he wants to change, a better change that is often echoed by Mr. Anies with Mr. Muhaimin," said Syaugi at the AMIN Winning House, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, December 6.

Syaugi claims that the acceptance of former Democratic Party cadres and founders by the AMIN camp is not interpreted as taking a niche of the voters of the Democratic Party who are now joining the coalition of supporters Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"We don't want to take it. We want people who really want to change, so join. That's all. Whoever it is, who the niche wants to be, not like that. I am sure that the community is now getting smarter, what the AMIN pair said is to fix it," said Syaugi.

Meanwhile, the seven people who expressed their support were Mohamad Sukri as a former administrator of the three-term Democratic DPP, Ahmad Thoriq as one of the founders of the Democratic Party, then Ramadhan Pohan who is a former member of the DPR Democratic Faction.

Then, Hencky Luntung who is also the founder of the Democratic Party, M. Hasyim Husein, a former Democratic Party administrator, Anton Rivai, one of the Democratic Party declarators as well as a former member of the DPR, and Yus Sudarso, a former Democratic DPP board member and a member of the DPR.

"The Mercy Change Star consists of 4 elements. The first is former member of the DPR RI, provincial DPRD, district/city DPRD. The two founders of the democratic party. The third is the former administrator of the DPP-DPD-DPC Democratic Party. The fourth is the main element of the Democratic Party cadre," said Chairman of the Presidium Bintang Mercy Change Mohamad Sukri.

Sukri said his group had the same goal as Anies-Cak Imin, namely to make changes to the order of government.

He said the Star of Mercy for Destruction would help Anies win the 2024 presidential election because he had experience being a success team for the Democratic Party who had won the two-term election.

"His most encouraging thinking is the common vision and mission that exists in AMIN. We want changes for prosperity, changes for justice, and also changes for everything better in the future," he explained.
