2,310 Toddlers In Central Jakarta Infected With Mycoplasma Pneumonia

JAKARTA - A total of 2,310 toddlers in Central Jakarta are suspected of being infected with Mycoplasma Pneumonia. This number is spread across 8 sub-districts throughout Central Jakarta, based on the records of the Central Jakarta Health Sub-dept.

"Most of the Pneumonia cases attacked the toddler group. Until the end of November 2023 there were 2,310 toddlers who were sick," said Head of the Central Jakarta Health Sub-dept., Rismasari when contacted, Tuesday, December 5.

Currently, the Central Jakarta Health Sub-dept. is also increasing early vigilance by monitoring the trend of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) cases at the puskesmas.

In addition, the health office immediately followed up on the report on the discovery of a case suspected of Mycoplasma Pneumonia.

"We also continue to move towards incoming reports and increase awareness regarding the Pneumonia virus," he said.

Rismasari asked all residents of Central Jakarta to carry out a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS). Start using a mask again, maintain the cleanliness of the house, ensure fresh air flow.

"Our people ask to diligently wash their hands with soap and water. It is all effective to protect themselves from Pneumonia," he said.
