Already Implemented In Puskodal, KSAU Kepincut Teknologi AI For National Defense

JAKARTA - Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo said that the TNI has observed the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to be used in national defense. "Especially for AI, we have thought about it and of course this AI is also being a topic of conversation everywhere," said Fadjar at the launch of the National Air Force Hero Prangko at the TNI AU Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Monday, December 4, confiscated by Antara. According to him, the TNI, especially the Air Force (AU) must follow the times and must be ready to use AI in the military field, especially for tasks that are considered too dangerous for humans to work. Fadjar said that the Indonesian Air Force itself has implemented AI technology for its communication and control centers. "Indeed, in several equipment related to the Air Force such as communication and then Puskodal (Coordination Center and Control). We have already used AI," he continued.

Fadjar said that the TNI will continue to follow the development of AI together with colleagues from universities and several experts. "Unbounded officially, we are trying to get close to the community. Incidentally this afternoon I will meet with several experts regarding engine software, through codifications regarding and so on," he continued., the challenges that must be faced by the Indonesian Air Force are not only about technology and the application of AI, but how to prepare its personnel to explore AI. "So we don't just send personnel who are not right within the team, but we will try to prepare the right personnel and after completing their education must apply their knowledge," he concluded.
