Today's Campaign Schedule: Prabowo Enters Work, Gibran Visits Tangerang

Presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to return to work as Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia on the seventh day of the campaign, Monday, while vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka is scheduled to visit several places in Tangerang, Banten.

Secretary of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Nusron Wahid confirmed that Prabowo would return to work.

"(Prabowo) came to work," said Secretary of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Nusron Wahid, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday night.

Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary of TKN, Aminuddin Ma'ruf, also explained that Gibran would take leave as mayor of Surakarta for a campaign in Tangerang.

"Monday, December 4, 2023, Mas Gibran will take leave as mayor for a campaign in the Tangerang area, Banten," Aminuddin said in his statement.

Gibran's two main agendas in Tangerang involved an event entitled "Gibran Greet" with residents in Poris Village and a visit to Islamic boarding schools in the Batu Ceper area during the event "Gibran Hears, Santri Talks".

Chairman of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Rosan Roeslani revealed this week, Prabowo is also scheduled to campaign on the island of Sumatra, without being accompanied by Gibran. Rosan said the two were indeed placed in several different areas at different times.

"The plan is in Sumatra for Pak Prabowo. Mas Gibran is also in several areas. So, it's not the same," said Rosan.

The campaign period has been set by the KPU from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, with the vote on February 14, 2024. The KPU will also hold five debates for the 2024 presidential election to introduce the ideas of each candidate pair.
