Ridwan Kamil: Prabowo Commits All Islamic Boarding Schools To Become The Main Program

Chairman of the Prabowo-Gibran Regional Campaign Team (TKD) in West Java, Ridwan Kamil, said that all Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia and their infrastructure will be used as the main program for presidential and vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

While accompanying Prabowo to visit the Mittahul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java, Ridwan Kamil said the inaugural Prabowoke pesantren campaign was his commitment to the implementation of Law (UU) Number 18 of 2019 concerning the Boarding School which was approved by President Joko Widodo.

"Pak Prabowo is committed to all Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, the pesantren law, support for infrastructure, assistance to the Masyayikh Assembly, the teacher assembly; it will be used as the main program," said Ridwan Kamil as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, December 2.

The former governor of West Java said that apart from maximizing the implementation of the Islamic Boarding School Law, the arrival of the Prabowoke Ponpes Mittahul Huda was also to connect the relationship.

"Kandulu saya jadi gubernur, wakil gubernurnyakan Pak Uu (Ruzhanul Ulum). Pak Uukan keluarga di sini. Jadi, mengungkap silaturahimkan lebih baik," imbuh dia.

Kang Emil, Ridwan Kamil's nickname, said that with the formation of a friendship, it could attract the sympathy of the people of West Java and further explore the figure of Prabowo Subianto.

He emphasized that the visit was not a form of political maneuver, but as a form of friendship.

"West Javanese people are simple. If they are diligent in visiting, friendship, (then) they usually sympathize. Sorry, yes, what color do you want, but this friendship is sincere, in all possible ways, it usually falls in love," said Ridwan.
