"The Prime Minister reaffirms Britain's commitment to trying to achieve a long-lasting conflict resolution, which provides dignity, peace and security for Israel and Palestine," he said.

The two leaders also emphasized the importance of continuing bilateral relations between the two countries.

At least 109 Palestinians died and several were injured when Israel returned to attack various regions in the Gaza Strip, after the humanitarian break ended, the Health Ministry in Gaza said.
