Firli Bahuri Promises To Attend Examination As A Suspect For SYL Tomorrow

The head of the inactive Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri is said to be willing to fulfill the summons for examination as a suspect in the alleged extortion case against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, on Friday, November 30.

The certainty of Firli Bahuri's presence is based on the results of communication between the investigator and his attorney.

"The legal adviser confirmed that FB will be present tomorrow morning for questioning in the suspect's capacity," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri to reporters, Thursday, November 30.

The plan is that the investigation of Firli will take place at the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit at around 09.00 WIB.

In the follow-up to the handling of the alleged extortion case after Firli Bahuri was named a suspect, investigators have examined 30 witnesses as of Wednesday, November 29.

The witness underwent an examination in the examination room of the Tipidkor Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya. While the rest are at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

Of the dozens of witnesses, three of them are former officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, namely, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, former Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono and former Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery (Alsintan) Muhammad Hatta.

Meanwhile, Firli Bahuri, who has the status of a suspect, is suspected of under Article 12e, 12B or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of corruption in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code. Thus, it is threatened with life imprisonment.
