CIREBON - Cirebon Police Satreskrim managed to arrest the perpetrator of the murder of a widow Rasni (48) in Cangkoak Village, Dupantang District, Cirebon Regency, West Java, within 36 hours.

The perpetrator named Ona Sundana (47) had fled to Bekasi and was arrested in the East Jakarta (East Jakarta) area, on Monday night. From his confession, the perpetrator killed his ex-wife because of jealousy, because the victim was visited by another man.

This was revealed by the Cirebon Police Chief, Kombes Pol Arif Budiman, according to him, before committing the murder, the perpetrator found information that the victim was visited by a man.

"The victim and the perpetrator were husband and wife in a serial manner, this perpetrator sells angkringan daily, to be precise on Sunday night, the perpetrator gets information that the victim is visited by a man. The perpetrator ordered someone else to check the truth," said Arif, Wednesday, November 29.

Arif continued, after finishing selling and checking the truth, the perpetrator went to the victim and entered his house through the back door.

"After finishing selling angkringan at around 02.00 WIB, the perpetrator came to the victim at his house, by entering through the back door and entering the victim's room. While in the room, the perpetrator persuaded him to reconcile, but the victim refused, on that basis, the perpetrator pulled out a knife that had been prepared and tucked into the waist, then stabbed him," he continued.

The knife used to kill, said Arif, the perpetrator took him from where he was selling angkringan.

"The knife was deliberately brought by the perpetrator from the place of sale by wrapping it in paper," he said.

After committing the murder, the perpetrator immediately fled to the Bekasi area and left the vehicle he was using.

"After the incident the perpetrator fled to the field and left the motorbike, then the perpetrator fled to the Bekasi area, then fled again to East Jakarta and finally the Opsnal Tekab team of 852 Cirebon Police arrested in East Jakarta within 36 hours," he explained.

From the results of the post-mortem, the victim Rasni suffered nine stab wounds and 11 acute injuries.

"From the post-mortem examination carried out by the Indramayu Police Hospital, there were nine stab wounds to the body or chest, including 11 cuts to the hands and wrists," he explained.

As a result of his actions, the perpetrators must languish in the Cirebon Police Headquarters and face life imprisonment. "Currently the perpetrators have been arrested and detained, our perpetrators are subject to Article 340 of the Criminal Code with the threat of life imprisonment or 20 years in prison," said Arif.
