AHY Reminds Democratic Candidates To Work Hard To Get Votes In The 2024 Election

Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) reminded all legislative candidates who are fighting in the 2024 General Election to work hard so that his party can increase votes in parliament.

"We want to increase votes and seats in parliament, both at the central and DPRD levels, districts/cities throughout the country," AHY said after carrying out the inaugural election campaign at the Adi Kurnia Candidate Hall, Central Kampung, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 28.

According to him, in order for the Democratic Party's votes to increase, in fact, the legislative candidates must work hard so that they are better known and preferred by the public.

In the 2019 election, the Democratic Party won 54 seats in parliament (DPR RI) with a total of 10,876,057 national votes (7.77 percent).

AHY hopes that nationally the Democratic Party can also become an election participant who has a good chance.

"I want the party engine to really run well. The legislative candidates also have passion, dedication and seriousness because this 75-day campaign period is a very short time for the legislative candidates," he said.

The eldest son of the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) said the Democratic Party wanted to return to national government.

"But also want to be stronger in parliament because the role of the executive and legislature is equally important and complementary to each other," he said.

AHY said tonight is a special day because it's an inaugural day or "kick off" for the 2024 election campaign.

"We, the big family of the Democratic Party, want to make sure that our struggle can be heard more and more by the public," he said.
