Israel-Hamas Accused Each Other Of Violating Ceasefire On Tuesday

JAKARTA - The militant group Hamas said Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition at residents in Gaza on Tuesday, while Israel Defense Forces said its troops were attacked in the Palestinian enclave, as both sides accused each other of violating the new extended ceasefire agreement on Tuesday.

Four Palestinians were injured by the bullets of Israeli occupation forces, one of whom is in serious condition in Gaza City, according to a WAFA news agency report, as reported by The National News November 28.

Meanwhile, Al-Qassam Hamas Brigade spokesman Abu Obeidah claimed Israeli forces had committed "clear violations" of the ceasefire in the northern Gaza Strip, saying it had "regarded this violation."

"We are committed to a ceasefire as long as the enemy is committed to it, and we call on the mediator to pressure the occupation to comply with all ceasefire provisions on land and in the air," Abu Obeidah stressed.

WAFA reported Israeli forces fired live ammunition at residents on Tuesday, as they tried to return home in the Al-Nasr neighborhood and Sheikh Radwan, which left four of them injured by bullets.

Separately, Israel Defense Forces said a number of its troops were lightly injured after being attacked by Hamas in the northern Gaza Strip, which appeared to be the first serious violation of the ceasefire.

According to the IDF, three explosive devices were detonated near troops at two separate locations in the northern Gaza Strip, "which is a violation of the ceasefire agreement," as quoted by The Times of Israel.

The military said, in one incident, gunfire was also directed at the Israeli army, who then returned fire.

"In both cases, the IDF troops are within agreed ceasefire lines," the IDF added.
