Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Alexander Marwata said the investigation into alleged corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) had stalled for three years. This is because this case was actually reported by the public in 2020 but has only been followed up recently. "When we experienced a case that then we named a suspect related to extortion, we really blank, we didn't know that in 2020 there were public reports," Alexander said as quoted from the Indonesian KPK YouTube show, Tuesday, November 28. Alexander revealed that the leadership had actually given a disposition or order to follow up the report by conducting an investigation at that time. As for 2020, the Deputy for Enforcement of the KPK was held by Karyoto and Endar Priantoro as Director of KPK Investigations. However, it was later discovered that the position was not carried out. “ Just yesterday we ordered to issue an investigation warrant (sprinlidik),” he said. "This means that from 2020 to 2023, three years. Well, this is not well monitored and the leadership does not have the tools to monitor whether the leadership's position is followed up or not," continued Alexander. So, in the future the KPK leadership will prepare steps so that this kind of thing will no longer happen. Alexander said, one way is to create a dashboard that monitors the progress of deputy work and directors in the anti-corruption commission. This dashboard discussion has also been carried out in a leadership meeting (rapid) after Nawawi Pomolango was appointed as the Temporary Chair of the KPK replacing Firli Bahuri. The replacement was made because Firli became a suspect at the Polda Metro Jaya and was temporarily dismissed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). "The leader has asked for a dashboard to be made, so that with the dashboard the leadership can monitor it. Approximately the leadership's position, especially those related to prosecution, ” explained Alexander.

"Because the most vulnerable KPK is being prosecuted, that's what we have to ensure good control, whether the position of the leader who ordered the investigation was followed up or not," he concluded.
