JAKARTA - Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana said that the government process for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet will continue to run effectively during the 2024 presidential election campaign.

"The government process continues, today alone there is an internal meeting, then flattened, I think the ministers carry out their respective duties and functions as usual," said Ari Dwipayana in a statement to reporters quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 28.

The 2024 election campaign period starts today, Tuesday, November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024. There are two Jokowi ministers who will run in the 2024 presidential and vice presidential elections, while a number of ministers are also recorded as participating in the presidential election winning team.

Ari said that the submission and implementation of campaign leave for ministers who run as presidential or vice presidential candidates as well as ministers who are members of political parties or join the campaign team has been clearly regulated in Government Regulation Number 53 of 2023.

"And of course there is also an internal mechanism to regulate whether there are deputy ministers who carry out their duties, or what, have been managed properly, basically the government continues to run normally," he said.

According to Ari, the ministers already know the work that must be completed and that is the hope of President Joko Widodo as the head of government.

Ari also again emphasized that the government never stopped, which could be seen from the tight schedule of cabinet meetings and the President's visit to regions and abroad.

"That means the government never stops, keep going," he said.
