Entering The Rainy Season, A Number Of Areas In Sukabumi Are Hit By Hydrometeorological Disasters

Sukabumi - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Sukabumi Regency, West Java, noted that a number of sub-districts in the area were hit by hydrometeorological disasters such as floods, fallen trees, and landslides on Sunday, November 26.

"As of Sunday night, we are still collecting data regarding disasters that occurred in several sub-districts in Sukabumi Regency," said Public Relations of the Sukabumi Regency BPBD, Sandra Firtria, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 27.

He explained that the disaster that was collected from the Sukabumi Regency BPBD was a fallen tree that occurred in Sungapan Village, RT-26/06 and Panyindangan Village, RT-29/06, Padabunghar Village, Jampangtengah caused two houses to be slightly damaged by falling trees.

A similar incident occurred in Pakuwon Village, RT-07/01, Cibodas Village, Bojonggenteng District where an angsana tree with a diameter of 50 cm and a height of 15 meters fell. Although none of the buildings were affected, as a result of this incident, the access road for residents was closed, but now it is normal after joint officers evacuated tree trunks that crossed the road.

A house inhabited by three people in Pojokkidul Village, RT- 19/05, Tegalpanjang Village, Cireunghas District also suffered damage to the roof due to being hit by a fallen tree trunk due to strong winds.

Then a landslide occurred in Cijolang Bojongduren Village, RT-14 RW-06, Cibentang Village, Gunungguruh District where a three-meter high cliff with a length of two meters landslide and closing the footpath.

The flood disaster in Cisaran Village in Griya Indah Parakansalak Housing, RT-001/01, Lebaksari Village, Parakanslak District which was caused by the water channel not functioning resulted in a broken water retaining wall so that one house was submerged in water as high as approximately 20 cm.

Landslides also occurred at three points in Sukakersa Village, Parakansalak District, precisely in Cipayung Village, namely landslides eroded the village road, then in Ciherang Village, RT- 023/08 landslides threatened a resident's house inhabited by five people and in Pojok Village, RT- 025/08 landslides eroded the bathroom and kitchen of residents' houses.

Not far from the previous location, landslides were 12 meters long, two meters wide and 10 meters high, precisely in Legoknangka Village, RT-04/03, Parakansalak Village/District closed the access road for residents so that vehicles could not pass and until now joint officers are still trying to evacuate the land that blocked the road.

Sandra said joint officers were still at the disaster-affected location.

However, until now his party has not received any information on casualties or injuries. Meanwhile, the number of houses and public facilities affected are still being collected.
