Presidential Candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto attended the Muhammadiyah Open Dialogue with the Candidate for National Leaders at Muhammadiyah University Surabaya, East Java.

Prabowo apologized for his vice presidential candidate, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who could not attend because he had to participate in the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) event which was also held at the same time and area.

"Today I apologize that Brother Gibran Rakabuming Raka could not attend because there was another event at the same time in East Java as well," Prabowo said in the Muhammadiyah Open Dialogue with the Candidate for National Leaders at Muhammadiyah University Surabaya which was broadcast on YouTube TvMU, Friday, November 24.

"But the one who organizes it is Nahdlatul Ulama," he continued.

Prabowo then said that the state was already determined if the two Islamic-based community organizations were also solid.

"So this country, if Muhammadiyah, Nahdlatul Ulama, is already steady, the country is steady. That's roughly the case," said Prabowo.

Even so, Prabowo ensured, if the community wanted to have a dialogue with Gibran, then President Joko Widodo's eldest son would certainly agree.

Prabowo again apologized for not attending Gibran at the Muhammadiyah event.

"So I'm sorry Mas Gibran, but every time you want a dialogue, I think Mas Gibran will definitely want to meet with all of you," said the Minister of Defense.

Previously, the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD pair were present at the Muhammadiyah PP Public Dialogue, yesterday.

Anies-Muhaimin attended the dialogue at Muhammadiyah University Surakarta. Meanwhile, Ganjar-Mahfud attended the dialogue in different places at Muhammadiyah University, Jakarta.

Meanwhile, today, it is Prabowo-Gibran's turn to attend a similar dialogue at Muhammadiyah University in Surabaya. However, Gibran was reportedly unable to attend.
