Acting Governor Of Southeast Sulawesi Bans ASN From Taking Photos Of Pose Jari Peace To Saranghae

Acting (Pj) Governor of Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra) Komjen (Ret.) Andap Budhi Revianto prohibits all ranks of state civil servants (ASN) within the scope of provincial and district/city governments throughout Southeast Sulawesi to take pictures with certain poses that seem to provide support to candidate pairs in the run ahead of the 2024 General Election

Acting Governor of Southeast Sulawesi Andap in Kendari, Monday afternoon, said that in the photo, there are several things that must be avoided by ASN, such as body movements with fingers showing numbers, because this can be assessed by the public in a different sense.

"ASNs are careful when taking pictures. Don't make movements that seem as if the body's expression shows neutrality in the election," Andap said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 21.

The prohibition of taking pictures with certain poses has been discussed and ratified by the central government, as stated in the Joint Decree (SKB) Number 22 of 2022 concerning guidelines for fostering and supervising the neutrality of ASN employees in holding elections.

"Let's together we (all ASN) obey these regulations," said Andap who is also the Secretary General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

Andap hopes that all ASN in the Southeast Sulawesi Province will not violate these rules to maintain the integrity of ASN while carrying out their duties not to mingle with political nuances ahead of the 2024 simultaneous elections.

To keep unwanted things from happening, it is recommended that ASNs take pictures, they can just push their hands, without showing fingers that seem to form numbers and support one particular figure.

"We must be neutral and create peaceful election conditions," said the former Southeast Sulawesi Police Chief.

There are several photo poses that are strictly prohibited for ASN, namely as follows:

1. Hand style with one thumb raised.

2. Hand style that symbolizes the phone with a thumb and fingers removed

3. Hand style with thumb and index finger removed.

4. The hataranghaeyo style from South Korea

5. Hand styles form ok symbols with middle fingers, sweet fingers, raised arms

6. Hand style with peace finger or number two.

7. Hand style with five fingers

8. The style of the hand with the index finger is lifted

9. Hand style by lifting thumbs up, pointing and turning metal.
