Police Investigate Case Of Missing OKU Prosecutor's Staff

BATURAJA - Ogan Komering Ulu Resort Police (Polres), South Sumatra, investigated the case of the alleged disappearance of one of the administrative staff at the local District Attorney's Office (Kejari) named Darma Yanti (45) whose whereabouts have not been known since Monday (13/11).

"The case of the disappearance of Darma Yanti's sister is based on a report from her husband Ihrom (45) who reported to the OKU Police on Tuesday (14/11)," said OKU Police Chief AKBP Arif Harsono in Baturaja as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, November 18.

He said the missing person case was based on Police Report Number LOH/05/XI/2023/SPKT OKU/South Sumatra Police on November 14, 2023.

The local police, he said, are still searching and investigating the motive for the victim who disappeared since 12.00 WIB.

According to information circulating, Darma began to disappear since the victim said goodbye to the family to go to Bank BRI Baturaja to collect some money by ordering an online taxi.

"This case is being investigated, both the motive and the whereabouts of the person," said the Police Chief.

Meanwhile, the Head of the OKU District Attorney's Office Choirun Parapat when confirmed confirmed the disappearance of one of the staff at the place's Kejaise.

He said the last time the victim was seen still entering the office carrying out activities as usual on Monday (13/11) or the day before the victim disappeared.

"Because we haven't returned home yet, the family reports it's missing. Currently we and his family are still looking for the whereabouts of the victim. Hopefully there will be good news soon," he said.
