JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Herliani Tanoesoedibjo hopes that the development of Movieland can be a big step for the development of Indonesia's creative industry.

Movieland, which was designed to be the first creative hub in Indonesia, was built on a 21-hectare land in the Special Economic Zone of MNC Lido City, Bogor Regency, West Java.

"This is expected to be able to bring investment and create large jobs so that it will also help post-pandemic recovery efforts, as well as develop the tourism sector and Indonesia's creative economy," said the representative of Sandiaga Uno, quoted from Antara, Monday, February 15.

The son of the conglomerate Hary Tanoesoedibjo also expressed his deepest appreciation to the MNC Group for continuing to innovate to help the government revive the tourism sector and the creative economy which had also suffered from COVID-19.

Movieland, which was built for Indonesian and foreign filmmakers, carries the concept of an integrated film and drama series (TV & OTT) industry center, and will be equipped with various production facilities such as backlots (shooting locations), sound stages (closed studios), production equipment with technology. state-of-the-art, to post-production facilities with world-class technology.

For the backlot, Movieland will present various needs for open shooting areas, such as residential areas, urban settlements, old town nuances to shooting locations with a rural atmosphere. This place also has public facilities such as hospitals, bus stops, schools, and supermarkets.

The Executive Chairman of MNC Group, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, sees that the Lido area can also be a very promising tourist area that can invite investors.
