PEKANBARU - Aldi (13 years old), a teenager who drowned in the Siak River, was finally found. Aldi reportedly drowned under Leighton III Bridge, Kampung Baru Village, Senapelan District, Pekanbaru City, Riau, and was found dead on Wednesday 15 November. Head of the Pekanbaru Class A Search and Rescue Office (SAR), Budi Cahyadi, explained that Aldi's body was found floating around the tourist location of Ant Island, Rumbai Pesisir. "Alhamdulillah, the victim who drowned in the Siak Pekanbaru River named Aldi was found dead. The discovery of the victim after a week-long search was carried out. The victim was found on Ant Island or tourist spot, far from the scene," Budi said in his statement, Thursday, November 16. After being found, the victim's body was immediately evacuated and handed over to the family.

"The victim's body has been evacuated and handed over to the family. This means that this case was closed because the victim was found," said Budi. At that time, the victim was only able to swim and immediately plunged into the Siak River.

"The victim was only good at swimming, his friend helped to pull him out. The victim was carried away by the current when the water receded," said Budi. According to reports of their child drowning, the victim's parents came to the scene and asked residents and the SAR Team for help in the search. During the search, the Joint SAR Team deployed 65 personnel from various elements.
