Former Director Of PT SHA Mitra Pertamina Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison, Embezzled Purchase Of BBM Of IDR 2 Billion

The panel of judges at the Surakarta City District Court (PN), Central Java sentenced the defendant to 5 years in prison for embezzlement in office, Wahyu Tri Nugroho, former Operations Director of PTSHA (Pertamina partner).

The former Dirops PT SHA was proven to have committed embezzlement in accordance with Article 374 of the Criminal Code and for the actions of the defendant, the company agent of fuel oil (BBM), Pertamina's partner, suffered a loss of IDR 2 billion.

The Head of Public Relations of the Surakarta City District Court, Bambang Aryanto, explained that the sentence imposed on the defendant was one year heavier than the demands of the Public Prosecutor (JPU), which was 4 years in prison.

The case began in early January 2023, the defendant Wahyu Tri Nugroho, who at that time served as Director of Operations of PT. SHA, who was assigned to pay for the purchase of Pertamina Dex diesel fuel, but the payment was not made by the defendant.

The company, which was suspicious because the warehouse stock was empty, finally tried to contact Wahyu Tri Nugroho. When contacted, the person concerned admitted that he was sick and was at his house in the Gondangrejo area, Karanganyar Regency, but when he was visited Wahyu was not at his house.

The company found it difficult to meet and confirm the matter and finally reported the alleged embezzlement case to the Surakarta Police Headquarters, in June 2023. Until finally, Wahyu Tri Nugroho's whereabouts were traced and arrested in the Purwakarta area, West Java.
