Kaesang Proposes Pink Election Ink Color

The Chairperson of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep proposed a change in atmosphere in the 2024 general election (Pemilu) to make it more lively and lively, one of which was the voting ink changing color from purple to pink.

"One of the things I hope for is whether I don't know whether it can be done or not. This election will be held on February 14, 2024, usually the ink is purple, if it can be pink," said Kaesang when met after the friendship with the North Sumatra Pandawa Executive Board (PB), in Medan reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.

The reason for the pink ink, said Kaesang, is because February 14, 2024, is known by the younger generation as a day of affection.

"It's a day of love," he said.

Today, the General Elections Commission (KPU) appointed the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a pair of presidential candidates competing in the 2024 Presidential Election.

This determination was made after the KPU verified the documents and saw the results of the medical tests of the three foods. The determination was stated in the decision of the General Election Commission Ri Number 1632 of 2023.

The Anies-Muhaimin pair was promoted by the NasDem Party, the National Awakening Party (PKB), the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), and the Ummah Party.

The Ganjar-Mahfud pair was promoted by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), the United Development Party (PPP), the Indonesian Unity Party (Perindo), and the People's Conscience Party (Hanura).

Meanwhile, the Prabowo-Gibran pair was promoted by the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), the Golkar Party (Golkar), the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Democratic Party, the Crescent Star Party (PBB), the Indonesian People's Wave Party (Gelora), the Garda Party of the Republic of Indonesia (Garuda), and the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), as well as the People's Fair and Prosperous Party (Prima) who did not qualify to participate in the 2024 General Election.

The General Elections Commission (KPU) has determined that the election campaign period will take place from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024, while the voting is scheduled to be held on 14 February 2024.
